Woodend Show

Hi everyone,

As I told you I have been busy in my studio.  I am off to Woodend Bear Show near Melbourne in Victoria, Australia on Thursday.  I am taking my Bears by Tracey artist collectable bears and also the Teds.

Anyone that buys a Ted at the show will go in the draw to win my special Halloween creation,
Weenie.

Home again

Hugglets Display

Hi everyone, This post is a bit early but I thought you would be wondering how Hugglets went.  Tracey advises she had a great show with several bears being adopted and off to lovely new homes and also catching up with other artists and friends

Its always a lot of work getting ready for a show which I am sure you will appreciate and you want them to all look their best on the day.  Here is what the stand looked like.  There were two parts to the stand, the artist bears and the new release of Ned the Ted bears. 

Don't forget if you want to be in the draw to win a Ned the Ted you need to have subscribed to our Little Bear Company newsletter by 30 September. After that date we will have a lucky draw for one subcriber.  The link to subscribe is on the sidebar.

It's now all about getting ready for the show in Paris this weekend, so will report back on that trip next week.

Hugglets

Tracey attended Hugglets yesterday, a great and famous Bear show held on London. It was a really busy day, several bears were adopted to new homes, and a great opportunity to catch up with other international bear artists.  I will share photos from the show later in the week.

What I do want to share with you is our new release. Ned the Ted's relatives. They were released at Hugglets and are now off to Paris. They will be available to everyone once Tracey gets back to NZ.  I am sure you will agree they are very cute.

I promised

Hello again,  as promised I will share a few more of the bears that Tracey has taken with her to London.  I am sure you will agree she has done a great job.

These are a few of my favourites.  The first ones I call "My Three Sons".  It took me back to a TV series I used to watch when I was young! Now thats giving away my age isn't it?

And what about this one... I think its a real cutie!

It sounds like Ned the Ted has been really busy now that he is in London.  Don't forget to share his adventures with the little people in your life.

Its up, up and away

Well, today was a busy day, getting Tracey off to the airport for the start of her overseas adventures.  For the next few weeks I will be keeping you informed of how its all going and what is happening. 

You won't believe it.  Tracey has found a stow away!!    A little companion who is going to share her adventures.  His name is Ned the Ted, and he has managed to hitch a ride with her.  If you want to follow his adventures and keep up to date with what he is up to please click here or on The Adventures of Ned the Ted link on the right hand side of the page.   Please share this with the little people in your life as I am sure they will enjoy the story.

London Calling!!!!

Hi everyone!!!!

I am so excited. Only 3 more sleeps till I head off to London.

Yes! I am off to Hugglets in London and then the following Sunday I will be showing my bears and critters at the Paris Show.

I have been really busy getting everyone busy.  Here are the mice waiting to have there final touches added to them.

The bears are coming along very well. I am sooooo pleased with my progress for the Hugglets and Paris shows. I have really pushed myself to be organized.

Body Parts Missing!!!!!

Well it is the end of the week and it has been a busy one. I hope you are all doing something exciting this weekend.

The boys have parties and winter camp and I will be in my studio all weekend sewing.

These little elephants seem to be taking a long time to finish! 

I am sure all 6 will be ready for a photoshoot on monday

Getting ready for Hugglets and Paris

Hi all

Well I hope everyone had a great weekend.
Finally Dave and I were able to go on our honeymoon weekend. I know we were married in January however it was only now that we were able to take our trip.

Will show photos of our trip once I work out how I can get them off my phone.

Well it is going to be a busy week in the studio. Lots of finishing. On my table today I am working on 2 lovely little elephants.

Make sure you come back on Friday and I will show them finished!!!!!

Also in the studio they week. I am working on my Halloween and Christmas collection.

Winter Wonderland Doll and Bear Show, Brisbane

Well we are home again.  What a great weekend catching up with collectors and friends.  The bears were very popular and many went off to their new homes.  Here is a glimpse of our table.

Hi all! I am at the airport with my friend Laraine heading to the Hamilton Doll and Bear show, which is on this weekend!

Boo hoo didn't get my bears finished in time however maybe I will tonight!

Mothers day

Happy mothers day to everyone! My day started out with a breakfast with my mum and my 2 sisters.it was lovely. However on arriving back home at 11.30am, I had to rush my youngest son Campbell to hospital. He had a bad asthma attack. This is where I am at present, in hospital. The children's ward! Thank goodness it is not busy. He is getting better, however he has to have his ventolin (puffer) every half hour, as well he is on oxygen. So think of me tonight being woken every half hour! Will post tomorrow with an update. Hugs

Bears for show

I have just finished lunch after being at Oliver and Campbells soccer games all morning! The sun is shining, which is good as I have heaps of washing on the line.

Unfortunately Dave has cancelled his trip to the beach house with the boys. Yes, that was my mothers day present to have peace and quiet , no one at home except the cat and the dog,while I sew and finish my bears for next weeks show in Hamilton. Now it is not happening.  Boo hoo! I had planned to stay up late sewing while watching girly dvds.

Below is what I am finishing, there are 2 elephants, 3 'no hair' mohair bears, small white bear and 2 polar bears on my sewing table all in bits....wish me luck!

Welcome to all my new followers. Hope you enjoy your visit to my blog.

It is Thursday morning here in Lower Hutt. Weather is awful...cold and chilly and raining It is around 10.15am when I post this new post. I haven't been able to change the date and time. I did go into the settings and found where to do it however it did not seem possible! will put it in the hard basket and try later.

I am home today ...busy sewing (hopefully) for an upcoming teddybear show in Hamilton. Will post a what's on my table post later today., to give you a little sneak preview of what might be available at the show.

I am still reading through my new mag, which has heaps of information in it.

what's on my table

Hi all. Today I picked up this magazine from my local bookshop. It contains heaps of great information about blogging as well as selling on the internet.
I am going to make myself a coffee and sit down and have a read of it.

Hi All, I was very lucky to have the opportunity while in Dunedin to stay with New Zealands' most famous doll artist Jan McLean. A lovely lady with a lot of knowledge to share. She has inspired me and I cannot wait to get stuck into my bear making tomorrow.

He has black glass eyes and a black perle cotton stitched nosed that I have waxed. Also I have shaded around his eyes, on his ears, paws and feet. He wears a blue silk ribbon bow.

Sugar is 3 1/2 inches high. She is created from a lovely hand dyed strawberry short pile  mohair. She is firmly stuffed with polyfil and is cotter pin and thread-jointed. She has black glass eyes an a black perle cotton stitched nosed that I have waxed. Also I have shaded around her eyes, ears, paws and feet. Sugar wears a white silk ribbon bow.

Herbal

Herb is 3 1/2 inches high. He is created from a lovely hand dyed sage green short pile mohair. He is firmly stuffed with polyfil and is cotter pin and thread-jointed. He has black glass eyes an a black perle cotton stitched nosed that I have waxed. Also I have shaded around his eyes, ears, paws and feet. He a multi colored cotton hand knitted hat.

Chamomile is 3 3/4 inches high.She is created from short brown sparse mohair that I call "no-hair" mohair. She is firmly stuffed with polyfil and is cotter pin and thread-jointed. She has black glass eyes an a black perle cotton stitched nosed that I have waxed. Also I have shaded around her eyes, on her ears, paws and feet. Chamomile is wearing a hand knitted skirt with vintage lace.

These 6 iced biscuits are handmade from felt with glass beads attached.    The biscuits measure 1 1/2 inches in diameter.

He wears a olive green silk ribbon bow with a key charm attached.

Earl Grey is 3 1/2 inches high. He is created from a lovely hand dyed deep grey short brown mohair. He is firmly stuffed with polyfil and is cotter pin and thread-jointed. He has black glass eyes an a black perle cotton stitched nosed that I have waxed. Also I have shaded around his eyes, ears, paws and feet. He wears a lovely silver paw pad necklace.

He has black glass eyes an a black perle cotton stitched nosed that I have waxed. Also I have shaded around his eyes, ears, paws and feet. He wears a hand knitted cotton hat.
